Customers rank Bermuda's insurance, banking and telecommunications firms
About 600 people were polled for the customer satisfaction survey of banks, insurance companies, cellphone firms and long-distance telephone providers.
Freisenbruch-Meyer was ranked the highest for customer satisfaction in insurance, with 80.8 per cent of their clients saying they are “very satisfied” with the service they receive.
Capital G earned top marks in banking, with 80 per cent of its customers reporting they are “very satisfied” with their service.
Logic ranks best for customer service when it comes to long-distance telephone provision, with 87.5 per cent of their customers “very satisfied”.
M3 Wireless and CellularOne tie for prime place in the cellphone sector, with 51.4 per cent and 49.2 per cent respectively of users being “very satisfied”.
The survey also found that BF&M has the largest share of the vehicle insurance market at 38.1 per cent.
More than half of residents — 51.5 per cent — say HSBC is their primary bank, while Digicel and M3 Wireless dominate the cellphone market at 35.1 per cent an 35.6 per cent respectively.
Cable & Wireless has the largest market share of the residential long-distance telephone market at 39 per cent.
The full report contains results on customer loyalty, perceptions on cost for the different sectors and is cross-tabulated by age, gender, income and race.
