F-M Continental League

Pinjammers lost their share of the lead when Cubs beat them 19 to 11. What’s worse, is the team not only lost ground to high flying Quickie Lickie Laundry, but Cubs also passed them in the standings.

Lew Furbert was in form as he rolled the high game and high series with a 235 and 642. Harold Minors used his 223 to help form his 607 series.

Alpheaus Santucci (224) and Anthony Hayward (598) also made the honours list.

Pat Price was the top woman with a 204 and a 547. The always steady Patrice Tucker rolled a 202 on her way to a 527. Rochelle Harvey’s 196 and Gina Coddington’s 543 were good enough to make the honours list.

Commercial League

The top four teams all lost, allowing for the middle of the pack clubs to gain ground before Christmas.

Larry Furbert managed the only 200 of the evening when he rolled a 213.

Furbert also had the high handicap series with a 674. Matthew Taylor was second with a 660 while Quinton Perinchief rounded out the men’s honours list with a 602.

Veney Sims and Roseann Mienzer tied for the top spot amongst the women with a 643. Kennelyn Smith (628) and Corinne Durrant (602) also rolled well.

Fishbowl League

Vernon Daniels rolled a 247 to edge Bobby Degraff by 11 pins for high honour amongst the men in the Fishbowl League last Friday at Warwick Lanes.

Gladwin Harvey also made the 200 mark with a 209.

Degraff had the high handicap series mark with a 696, Vernon Daniels had a 665 while Nelson Arruda rolled a 650.

Cathee Tumbridge bested all women with a 189 game while Lelina Niere had a 184 and Corinne Durrant rolled a 182.

Minda Duldulao had the high handicap series honours with a 686. Niere’s 676 was second best while Durrant had a 632.

Mixed Majors

Fight Back took over the league lead with a 15 to 5 victory over Rebels while Gang of Blue only managed 11 points against Minimax Forwarders.

David Maycock missed out on another perfect game when he rolled a 279. He ended up with a 716 series. Loderick Holder and Matthew Viney both rolled a 236 for the second high game.

Roslyn Simmons led all women with a 236. A trio of women rolled a 213, including Shirley Tuzo, Josie Richardson and Ronnette Burgess.

Edna-Mae Tuzo won the battle of Tuzos for the women’s high series. Edna-Mae had a 567 while Shirley had a 552. Simmons rolled a 550 to finish with third high honours.

Barritt’s League

It’s a long road to overhaul Pembroke Juniors as the top team in the league, but PH Club started the long fight back with a 21.5 to 8.5 winner over the frontrunners.

They are still 47.5 games out of first place after clawing back 13 points.

Jermaine DeSilva rolled a 253 as part of the foundation for his 617 series.

Antoine Jones had the high series with a 620, which he used a 248 to help form it.

Sinclair Samuels (235) and Casey Burgess (610) also made the honours list.
