It certainly was not the start Aussie David Moore might have hoped for as he begins a fresh term as national coach.
The clash took place at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek this week.
Facing a first innings deficit of 369 runs, Bermuda's bats folded under the pace of fast bowler Louis Klazinga, who claimed five for 45 to restrict the tourists to 184 all out in 47.1 overs.
Laying the foundation for the Namibian's lopsided win, their first in the contest, were opening batsmen Raymond Van Schoor (157) and Ewald Steen-kamp (206), who shared in a record 374 stand that virtually put the match beyond Bermuda's reach.
Also cashing in on a blunted Bermuda attack was Namibia skipper Craig Williams, who belted an unbeaten 110 off just 74 balls.
The Namibians dominated this match from the start, removing Bermuda, who elected to bat, for 214 in their first innings with wicketkeeper- turn-bowler Tobias Verwey claiming five for 46 - his first five-wicket haul in first class cricket.
Skipper David Hemp led the Bermuda resistance in each innings with knocks of 52 and 65, while seamer Malachi Jones (three for 141) and spinner Rodney Trott (two for 148) claimed five wickets between them.
With the win, Namibia moved into second place in the Intercontinental Shield standings behind leaders Uganda while Bermuda remain last.
Moore's men will now face United Arab Emirates in their final group match July 5-8 at the National Sports Centre.
With their Inter-continental Shield match behind them, Bermuda and Namibia are now due to square off in two 50 over contest, while it remains to be seen if last week's postponed Twenty/20 match will be rescheduled.
