The former world number one is coming back for the XL Champions’ Challenge in April.
He'll be joined by Frenchman Cedric Pioline and two as yet un-named stars in the Friday-night showpiece.
Aussie Marc Philippoussis will add star quality to the main draw. The former U.S. Open and Wimbledon finalist is on the comeback trail and will compete in the XL Capital Open as he looks to put himself back in the frame for more major tournaments on the world tennis circuit.
A separate set of tennis legends will also play exhibition matches on the final day.
In a change to the tournament format Courier, Pioline and two others will compete in a series of team-tennis matches on the Friday evening - April 21.
The Champions Challenge event will be a break from the competitive action, with a series of promotions aimed at making it a fun, family event.
Plans include a racket giveaway for the first 100 kids through the door in a bid to generate some noise and atmosphere.
Courier, who played in the event last year, said he was hoping to perform better this time.
“It will be terrific to be back in Bermuda playing again at the XL Champions’ Challenge. I was a bit under the weather last year so I am ready to play up to my capabilities this time and hopefully spend some time having fun on the island."
Courier turned pro in 1988 and is a 4-time Grand Slam champion, capturing back-to-back titles at the Australian Open in '92 and '93 and back-to-back titles at the French Open in '91 and '92. He spent a total of 58 weeks in the world no.1 spot in '92 and '93.
In July of 2005 he was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame
Pioline reached a career high world ranking of No.4 in the world in 2000 and captured five career singles titles. He was a finalist in two Grand Slams; at the 1993 US Open and the 1997 Wimbledon Championships, but was defeated by Pete Sampras in both.[[In-content Ad]]
