Cook is fixing up wins in Scooter Class
Cook, who has been unable to compete with the top riders in previous years because his bike was not up to the same standard, was riding a new Malossi Zip.
He and his brother John Cook, second last year, are team-mates this time around and are riding identical bikes.
Devon 'Red' Bailey is expected to be the main challenger to the brothers for this year's title.
But Cook comfortably overcame the challenges from both men on Sunday.
The younger Cook took second in the first race but had to settle for third in the second race after a long battle with Bailey.
Ed Cook is now 14 points clear of John Cook in second with Bailey a few points further back in third.
He added that he was delighted to come out with his best ever performance and hoped to go on and lock down the title in future weeks.
In the SuperBike Class David Jones once again took a double victory battling from the back of the pack to victory. Marvin Robinson was the closest rival to Jones taking two second place finishes leaving third place to Paul Decouto.
In the 125 class the 2005 Champion Cyril Whitter III had a bad start in the first race. He battled hard to make his way back to finish in second place. Shannon Caisey won the first race with a dominant victory leaving Jevaughn Simons to finish in third. In the second race Whitter was unable to start the race leaving him with a DNS and no competition for Caisey who raced to the front to take his second victory of the day. Jevaughn Simons finished second and Toriano Wilson finished third.
In the mini bike class young Shaquille Godfrey raced out to the front in the first race and led until the final lap where he ran out of gas to have to push his bike across the line. This left first place wide open for Jeneko Place leaving Shaquille Godfrey with a 5th place finish.
In the second race Shaquille Godfrey sped to the front and that's where he stayed to finish first followed by Andrew Decosta in second and Jeneko Place in third.
It was a great first race back on the track for #101 Paulo Silva finishing second and third in the MiniGP80 Class. Keanu Wilson had a bad start in the first race but managed to not only make it through the field back to first but also pulled a gap to win both the first and second races of the day.[[In-content Ad]]
