Coaches tinker with squads

Trinidad coach Francisco Maturana has urged his team not to hit the panic button as they prepare for Sunday's do-or-die clash with Bermuda.

The Trini coach admitted that the team had not expected to be in this position - facing the prospect of becoming the first team who made it to the last World Cup to be eliminated from this one.

But he said his team was ready to set things straight. Maturana - quoted in the Trinidad Express - said, "It is important not to panic but yes we are facing a game which we need to finish the job away from home. "We now find ourselves in a position where we have to go to Bermuda and play a game and get the result to take us through to the next round.

"Before last Sunday's game maybe some people did not expect this to be the situation now but this is the reality and we have to just take care of it." Maturana made two changes to his squad with Defence Force defender Michael Edwards coming in for Ancil Farrier and Defence Force winger Kevon Carter replacing Hayden Tinto.

Meanwhile Bermuda coach Kenny Thompson will not unveil his 18 until just before kick-off time on Sunday.

He said he was still checking on the fitness of John Barry Nusum but otherwise had a healthy squad. Stevie Astwood, Tyrell Burgess and Sammy DeGraff have all been training this week as well as the 18 that went to Trinidad.

Thompson said: I'm expecting a similar game, but a more difficult game. There will be an extra motivation for them motivation for them to restore the advantage they felt they should have had in the first leg.

T&T Squad: Kevon Carter, Michael Edwards, Clayton Ince, Kern Cupid, Makan Hislop, Osei Telesford, Dennis Lawrence, Carlos Edwards, Khaleem Hyland, Aurtis Whitley (captain), Darryl Roberts, Jason Scotland, Kareem Smith, Stern John, Keyeno Thomas, Stephan David, Keon Daniel, Jan-Michael Williams.
