Need a healthy, meat-free meal on the go? A new business is meeting the demand for vegetarian and vegan food in Bermuda.

Café Eden Smoothie Bar opened this week at 41 King Street, opposite the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church-run firm is inside the Book Centre and ABC Natural Foods.

Manager Carolyn James said the smoothie bar will “sell so much more than smoothies”.

The menu features healthy snacks such as soups, ice cream and vegetarian burgers and sandwiches. Ms James said the business was launched so that vegetarians and vegans could enjoy light meals made with healthy ingredients.

The smoothie bar is open from Monday to Friday with seating inside and outdoors.
