Choctaw and Seminoles in Warriors stalemate

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31: Neither Choctaw nor Seminoles could break their deadlock at the top of the Warriors League as both teams drew with their opponents last Friday at Warwick Lanes.

There were plenty of 200s to go around as Gregory Focke (255), Terry Gibbons (243), Raphael Simons (237), Sharon Bean (243), Sandra Ford (220) and Susie Bradshaw had the top men’s and women’s games.

Shakeela Carter had the top handicap series with a 733. Alisa Cann was the second top woman with a 696, while Princine Bailey rolled a 679.

Victor Fishington had a 716 to have the top handicap series for a man. Gilbert Trott rolled a 703 while Jamion Simmons had a 684.

Commercial League

Sweet Life jumped into first place after blanking Double Trouble 4-0 and Super Stars managed a 2-2 draw with Gard Do It Best.

Charmaine Smith topped all bowlers with a 236 scratch game. Tine Sims was the second high woman with a 201 while Doreen Smith rolled a 196.

Terence Minors was the high man with a 232, beating Tremayne Bean by seven pins. Jaime Ford rolled a 202. 

Minors did have the high handicap series with a 686. Glen Frith was the second high man with a 642 and Carl Durrant bowled a 637.

Karen Landy’s 669 pinfall was two better than Charmaine Smith’s. Sharon Gibson rolled a 624.

FM-Continental League

Cubs continue to dominate the league and had another big victory, this week downing New Hope 24.5 to 5.5.

Greame ‘Flash’ Furbert had the high game with a 237, edging Renalda Bean by three pins. However, Bean had the high series with a 641. Christopher Leverock rolled his 230 into a 626 series. Anthony Hayward also had a big night with a 612 series.

Kenneisha Simmons used her 227 game to convert it into a 577 series. June Pitt rolled a 203 game and 516 series. Also making the honours list were Edna Mae Tuzo with a 213 and Patrice Tucker with a 574 series.

Scores: Pinjammers 25, Odd Balls 5; Quickie Lickie 19, The Invaders 11; Spicenix 24, Nifty Rollers 6; Cubs 24.5, New Hope 5.5; Pinsplitters 26.5, Bermuda Pest Control.
