Four teams showed up to the Bermuda School Sports Federation basketball finals undefeated. All four were victorious in winning their respective finals at CedarBridge Academy. Congratulations to T.N.Tatem, Warwick Academy, The Berkeley Institute and CedarBridge Academy on their perfect seasons.

Middle School Girls

T. N. Tatem 18,

Dellwood Middle School 6

T. N. Tatem maintained their perfect season with a convincing 18-6 victory over Dellwood Middle School. Tatem jumped out to an early lead a never looked back. They were led by the speedy guard tandem of Kayjuna Lema and Malihah Weeks. Weeks was named MVP for Tatem as she led all scorers with 12 points. Shantina Cumberbatch was named MVP for Dellwood

Junior Varsity Boys

Warwick Academy 38, CedarBridge Academy 21

A blow out looked in order as Warwick Academy jumped out to an early 12 - 0 lead in the junior varsity final.

CedarBridge fought back bravely in the second quarter and shrunk Warwick's lead down to four points. Warwick turned up the pressure late in the third quarter to pull away and win the game with relative ease.

Game MVPs were Tyneil Darrell of Warwick Academy who scored 18 points and Anthony Furbert of CedarBridge who finished with 10.

Senior School Girls

Berkeley Institute 25, Saltus Grammar School 19

Berkeley came out victorious in the evening's tightest contest. The fourth quarter proved to be tense for both coaches.

Most of the girls featured in this final will return again next year.

MVP Jahtuere Trott of Berkeley led all scorers with 20 points. She single handedly put the game out of reach for Saltus late in the fourth quarter. Saltus tried a late push behind MVP Jasmine Patterson (eight points) and Amy Fox (seven points) but Berkeley's defense held on to defend their title.

Senior School Boys

CedarBridge Academy 48, Mount Saint Agnes 36

CedarBridge Academy jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in winning the senior boys title. Their intense defence, athleticism, and key free throw shooting were instrumental in their convincing victory. MVP Richard Warner led the way with 17 points for the winners. Alex Martin of MSA led all scorers with 18 points. The final was an entertaining fast paced match which clearly benefitted CedarBridge's style of play. MSA were let down by a poor shooting performance both on the floor and at the free throw line.[[In-content Ad]]
