CableVision staff down tools
FRIDAY, MARCH 23: Staff at Bermuda CableVision today downed tools in a dispute with management.
A spokeswoman for the Hamilton-based firm confirmed that workers at the TV provider had stopped work on Friday and added that a statement from management would be made later.
It is understood around 40 staff, all members of the Bermuda Industrial Union, are involved.
BIU chief Chris Furbert was this morning locked in talks to resolve the dispute and was not available for comment.
