Bermuda Commercial Bank announced this week that acting managing director Brian Munholland is resigning. A press statement from the bank stated that he is leaving the island for family reasons but will continue in his post ãfor a reasonable time and work to assure a smooth transition.ä An international search for a successor has begun, it continued.
Thompson appointed contract salesperson
In other business moves, Bermudian Richard Thompson, has been appointed contract salesperson for the Electrical Division of the HWP Group.
His responsibilities include providing a ãseamlessä experience ãfrom the researching and ordering of suitable appliances· through to the delivery and installation,ä according to a press statement.
Mr. Thompson has 25 years of experience in retail, five of which have been with HWP. CEO Jonathan Brewin said he is ãdelightedä that Mr. Thompson accepted the position.
ãRichard has an excellent rapport with many of our clients. HWP is working very hard right now to improve our customer relations and Richard will play a major role in the future success of this division.ä
Two moves at Arnoldâs Tile
ARNOLDâs Tile this week announced two new postings. Patricia Bell, after two years in the companyâs sales division was last week promoted to sales floor manager, a position she expects to be ãchallenging.ä Ms. Bell has a 27-year-old son and said that her goal for the sales department is simple: ãTo grow from strength to strength and support customersâ needs.ä The company has also taken on Rhonda Smith, 27, who formerly worked in the housekeeping department at the Marriott hotel until its closure.
