Bulldawgs, BEST early favourites for B Division title

BNTB Bulldawgs opened the 2007 season with a 19-12 win over TBI High Speeders, scoring in each inning to build up a commanding lead. Donnie Moniz homered twice for BNTB, knocking in ten runs. Chris Pitcher doubled twice and drove in four for TBI.

BEST 17, Scared Hitless

BEST Shipping plated 13 runs in the first frame en route to a 17-2 whipping of Scared Hitless. Jevanie Fubler tripled in three runs and Andre Trott brought home four to pace BEST. Jamie Fraser and David Lade drove in the runs in the loss.

BDA Blue 28, Flagstone 16

Bermuda Blueprinting returned to action with a 28-16 victory over Flagstone Re. John Stephens and David Gibbons both homered and drove in six runs for the Blue. Deforest Evans slammed a pair of homeruns to drive in six, and Shawn Stevenson hit for the cycle and brought home four to lead Flagstone.

HSBC 23, Argus 11

HSBC rolled over Argus by 23-11, scoring eleven times in the fifth inning to put the game away. Adrian Florence homered and drove in six, while John Uprichard added six runs batted in for HSBC. Dean Fudge collected four hits and drove in three for Argus.

E&Y 10, Precision 8

In Men's Division play, E&Y edged Precision Panthers by 10-8, plating three runs in the eighth inning to claim the win. Ryan Amlin and Jon Gazzard combined for five hits and six runs batted in, including the deciding runners. Garic Swainson hit a two-run homerun for Precision.

Island Construction 27,

AF Smith 5

Island Construction destroyed AF Smith by 27-5, scoring 14 runs in the first inning alone. Kenrick Richardson hit a grand slam and Trevor Corday drove in four runs. Marcus Flannery had four hits for AF Smith.

Cafe Cairo 13, Eacy Girlz 8

In the Ladies Division, Café Cairo defeated Eacy Girlz by 13-8. Trish Crow tripled twice for Café Cairo, while Joanie Harper knocked in four runs. Jenny Faries drove in two runs for Eacy Girlz.

P&M 18, Swizzle Inn 10

P&M Electri-Cute overcame a seven-run second inning with a seven-run inning of their own in the fifth to knock off Swizzle Inn Sluggers by 18-10. Kourtney Cotton homered and tripled to drive in five runs for P&M. Jackie Nerlien collected four hits to lead Swizzle Inn.

Swizzle, Comets

In the late game, Swizzle Inn Sluggers had a commanding lead over The Comets when the game was called after a player ejection giving Swizzle the win. Lianne Leonardi hit a grand slam and had seven runs batted in through three innings.[[In-content Ad]]
