WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28: One may be the loneliest number, but it provided several easy wins for riders at this weekend’s street bike racing at Southside.
Shannon Caisey could throttle down this weekend in the Superbike Class as his competitors were not on the track.
Cody Sousa-Saints was racing at Virginia International Raceway, Bryce Place of 911 Team is injured and Ed Daniels did not compete.
Koshun Durrant of the Pizza House Team came away with three chequered flags in the GP125 Class as many of his competitors of Team Tuned were overseas at Virginia international Raceway) for overseas competition.
Battle
The Supermoto Class saw Peter Terceira with all three wins as his competitors are off island.
Monique Waite took two firsts in the Mini Bike class before Coleridge Fubler Jr broke through in the third heat to prevent Waite from sweeping. Fubler and Waite both had a second place finish as well.
Selina Roach, public relations officer for the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing club said: “There is a battle going on with the 911 team of Waite, Fubler and (Tamia) Place. Racing is getting more competitive and the results can be any one of them taking the win.”
The GP-80 class saw Jazari Caisey of Pizza House Team run away with three straight first place finishes for the day.
Caisey led all three races from the start.
Robert DeVent of Pizza House Team finished in second for all three races with Haley Place of 911 Team finishing third in each for the day.
Roach said: “DeVent challenged Caisey for the winning spot in the second heat but Caisey laid it on to take the win.”
The Scooter Class saw Ricky Wade take the win in the first heat with Carlos Cardoso in second.
Cardoso took wins in heats 2 and 3 with Wade in second. Missing from the action was Kenny DeSilva who wasn’t on the track this weekend
The next race day is Sunday, October 9.
