BEST remains undefeated

BEST Shipping gave up a three-spot in the seventh inning, but scored four times in the extra frame to seal a 20-17 win over BISYS. Lianne Leonardi drove in a run in the eighth inning, and scored the eventual winning run for BEST. Shawn Warman added a three-run homerun.

Julian Kinghorn knocked in five runners for BISYS.

Olympia 13, St. George's 4

Olympia dropped St. George's Ponys by 13-4. Scott Shannon and Jeff Jane both drove in two runs to pace Olympia.

Lawrence Smith doubled in two in the loss.

Arch 16, Argus 11

Arch scored three times in the sixth inning to seal a 16-11 win over Argus. Robert Dickinson had four hits and Claude Lefebvre collected three as both drove in three runs for Arch. Tori Richard hit a two-run homerun to lead Argus.

TPC 28, Iron Giants 10

TPC Tees scored eight times in the third inning and added eleven runs in the fifth to crush Iron Giants by 28-10. Marco Almeida tripled three times and drove in five runs for TPC, while Doug Wolyshyn knocked home four. Bill Gleason drove in three runs for the Giants.

Electri-cute 12, Sluggers 8

P&M Electri-Cute scored eight runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 12-8 win over Swizzlin' Sluggers. Antoinette Williams collected three hits and drove in four runs for P&M.

Jackie Nerlien doubled home two runs to lead Swizzlin.

Comets 19, Eacy Grlz 4

The Comets opened with twelve runs as they coasted to a 19-4 mercy win over Eacy Grlz. Desiree Butterfield and Rhonda Neil each drove in two runs for Comets, while Catherine Vu added three hits.

Allana Bean drove in two runs in defeat.

Cafe Cairo 20, Stars 10

Café Cairo took both games of a doubleheader, defeating Swizzlin by 15-7 in the first game then shooting down International Stars by 20-10 in the following game. Joanie Harper drove in three runs against Swizzlin, and topped that performance by driving in six runs against the Stars. Mandy L'Heureux cashed in four runners for Swizzlin.

Rose Sanders collected three hits and drove in two runs for International.

Stars 23, Comets 8

International salvaged the night with a 23-8 win over The Comets in the evening nightcap game. Zina Jones drove in four runs in the victory, while Cassandra Trott added three. Liz Blanchard chipped in three hits for the Comets.

Tuff Dogs 24, Police 11

Tuff Dogs scored seven and nine in the first two innings to stomp Police Enforcers by 24-11. Justin Barritt and Jon Gazzard both drove in five runs in the win. Dennis Joell drove in two in the loss. n
