Bermudian lawyer joins Appleby

Sophie Tod has joined as a senior associate. She has 10 years experience and has worked for leading law firms in Geneva, the UK and Bermuda.

She was also formerly legal counsel for the Bermuda Monetary Authority, advising on the regulation of trust, insurance and investment industries and assisted in the drafting of associated Bermuda legislation.

Ms Tod specializes in providing non-contentious trust services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private banks, charities and trust companies.

She advises on a wide range of wealth planning structures including trusts, private trust companies, corporate trustees, insurance entities, unit trusts and pension schemes.
