Bermuda’s the place for a great bike race
Overall winner Karen Brems was caught on camera as she made her final push to the finish line at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse.
The picture was featured on the contents page of the November issue of the U.S. based cycling magazine along with a quote from Brems about the joy of competing in Bermuda.
The pic previewed a feature in the magazine, which included another picture of Brems cresting the top of Burnaby Street in the Hamilton Criterium.
Peter Dunne, who organizes the CD&P Grand Prix, said it was a major coup to get such prominent coverage.
He added that the photo and quote could well appear in promotional material for next year's event.
“While our event is regularly covered in VeloNews as well as some of the online sites dedicated to cycle racing, getting a picture placed in such a prominent location is a major boost for us.
“Also, the quote from Karen plays to both the suitability of Bermuda as a location for professional bike racing as well as the natural beauty of the country.”[[In-content Ad]]
