Bermuda trounce Cayman by 73 runs
Logie said he was proud of Irving Romaine and his team after their comprehensive 73-run victory over Cayman.
And he believes they can enhance their status as one of the tournament's top dogs today with another victory against hapless Suriname, who were trounced by hosts the U.S.
"It's great to see the guys come together and perform the way they did.
"Some of them are still not as ready as they would like to be but they played sensibly today, batted patiently and used the conditions well.
"Tomorrow is Suriname and that is a good opportunity for us to cement our position as one of the favourites."
The coach indicated that he planned to rotate his squad tomorrow with the game against U.S. on Thursday likely to be much more crucial in the context of the tournament.
The U.S. walloped Suriname by 303 runs yesterday. Sushil Nadkarni scored 197 as they racked up 363. Then Tim-Roy Allen took five for seven as they skittled the South Americans for 60.
"I think Suriname had seven or eight players missing who were denied visas so they had to look for a second string team. They would have been defeated by that so I'm not going to read too much into that result," insisted Logie.
But he warned there would be tougher challenges ahead with Argentina also looking strong after pushing Canada all the way before falling to a one-wicket defeat yesterday.
"The tournament starts to get really tough from Thursday.
"We've got three games in three days this week and then Argentina and Canada at the weekend.
"That's why I'd really like to see all my players in action before Thursday. We've discussed it and there will be some changes tomorrow. We need to give a couple of people a break for Thursday and give a couple of other guys a run out."
Spinner Tamauri Tucker and seamer Justin Pitcher are likely to come into the XI tomorrow, but Glenn Blakeney is still not fit to play.
"The physio is working on him right now and I'm hoping to have him fit for the U.S. game."
Logie added that he was optimistic for the rest of the tournament with the pitches appearing to suit his slow bowling attack.
"It looks like that might be the nature of the surfaces. They are slow and low and it is difficult to get the spinners away."[[In-content Ad]]
