Bermuda loses opening match to Argentina
TUESDAY, APRIL 24: Bermuda’s women’s cricket team lost its opening match of the ICC America’s T20 Championship to Argentina today by eight wickets.
The tournament is being played in the Cayman Islands and includes the US, Canada, Cayman and Brazil.
Argentina won the toss and sent Bermuda into bat. Bermuda was 59 all out in 17.5 overs. Brittney Marshall was the only Bermudian to reach double figures with her 12.
In reply, Argentina reached the victory total with 9.2 overs to spare as they cruised to 60 for 2.
Canada beat Brazil by 126 runs and the US won by 68 runs over hosts Cayman.
