Bermuda hoping for Dutch treat in next match
While Kenya are, on paper, the best of the Associate countries, the Dutch are officially the worst.
They are ranked 16th in the world, two places behind Bermuda. And, like our boys, they have struggled to adapt to the step up in class after qualifying for the World Cup.
But they do have more experience than Bermuda, having at least been to the World Cup before. And a tough match is in prospect.
James Whittaker spoke to Cricket Europe's Rod Lyall, one of the most authoritative writers on Dutch cricket, about the team and how they will match up to Bermuda over the coming days.
Coach: Peter Cantrell - The 44-year-old Aussie played five one-day-internationals for his country.
Captain: Luuk van Troost - A hard hitting middle order batsman who has played 20 one-day-internationals. Also a bit part seamer and an outspoken leader.
Star Men: Leading players include the South African-born Essex allrounder Ryan ten Doeschate, former Sussex batsman; Bas Zuiderent, and former MCC Young Cricketer Daan vanBunge.
Young players to watch: Alexei Kervezee (just signed a contract with Worcestershire at the age of 16), seamer Mark Jonkman, and spinners Pieter Seelaar (SLA) and Muhammad Kashif (OB).
Biggest ever Dutch victory over a Test country: Bobby Simpson's 1964 Australians in Den Haag.
Worst moment: Conceding 443 for nine off 50 overs against Sri Lanka in Amstelveen in July 2006.
Strengths: the batting, mostly.
Weaknesses: the seam attack, especially in the absence of the injured Edgar Schiferli and Darron Reekers.
