Here’s how the foreign press reported Bermuda's win over Canada in its first ever One Day International match on Wednesday:

Canadian Press: Dean Minors and Lionel Cann helped Bermuda recover from a poor start and earn a three-wicket victory over Canada. Canada had some early bowling success limiting Bermuda to 32 runs for three wickets…and looked to be back in control when the seventh wicket fell after 89 runs, but Cann and Minors came through with pivotal performances for Bermuda.

Trinidad Express: Bermuda were in trouble early, losing their first wicket with just two runs on the board…With seven wickets down Hasan Durham was run out for one and victory began to slip away from the islanders. But Cann joined Minors at the crease and the pair put on a partnership of 64 to see Bermuda Home with an over to spare.

Trinidad & Tobago's Newsday: Bermuda were in trouble at 89 for seven before man of the Match Minors was joined by Cann. The duo overcame any sort of nerves to carry their team to victory. The left-handed Minors scored 46 in 90 balls, which featured five fours and a six, while Cann chipped in with a brisk 32 off 28 balls with a solitary six.

Kern DeFreitas for the ICC: Minors put on a valiant match high of 46 not out, scoring five fours and a six to keep the scores ticking over. Cann also kept up the tempo and finished 42 not out.[[In-content Ad]]
