Barnes leads TAG Class

MONDAY, DEC. 10: Scott Barnes slipped into first place in the TAG Class as he swept all three heats. It was a great day for Barnes as he also won all three races in the 125cc Shifter Class.

Barnes now leads David Barbosa by three points in the TAG Class after the latter had an off-day. Barbosa finished seventh, ninth and third in the three heats.

Stephen Corrado was second overall on the day with a fourth and two seconds, which was good for 64 points. Bermuda Karting Association president Jason ‘Skuzzie’ North was third with a second, third and fourth for 58 points.

In the 125cc Shifter Class, Shannon Caisey was second overall with two seconds and a fourth for 64 points while Stephen Corrado was third overall with two thirds and a second.

Corrado now trails Barnes by 78 points for the class lead with Anthony Bean in third with 217 points. Caisey’s big day vaulted him into fifth overall and just 17 points behind Bean.

Blake Horseman won two of the three heats in the Junior Stock Clone Class (10 to 15 year olds) with Corey Lewis winning the other race. Owen DeCosta had two seconds and a third to finish second overall on the day.

Ryan Lopes swept the Junior Modified Clone Class (10 to 15 year olds) with Zanardi Daley picking up two second places.

The next race day is Sunday, January 6.
