WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30: Jason ‘Skuzzie’ North swept all three races in the TAG senior class in go-kart racing at Southside on Sunday.
North picked up 80 points for his flawless race day.
David Barbosa was second in all three heats to earn 68 points.
Patrick Ingham took third in two of the three heats, including the double points third one, which saw him garner 58 points on the day.
Luis Martins took the other third place finish.
Barbosa retains his lead for the season title with 347 points with Ingham trailing him by 26 points. Steven Corrado is third with 292 points.
Alexander Roque won all three heats in the 125cc shifter class over Ben Savill.
The three victories put Roque in front for the race for the season title as he now has 305 points to Savill’s 291.
Ryan Lopes won the first two heats in the Junior In-Clone class for seven to 12-year-olds, but Blake Horseman roared back to take the final heat.
Lopes had 74 points for the afternoon’s racing while Horseman picked up 70. Owen DeCosta was second twice and third in the final heat, and earned 64 points for his efforts.
Lopes is 34 points ahead of DeCosta for the overall title.
Al Seymour Jr won the first heat in the Junior In-Clone Class for 12 to 15-year-olds, but Amber Lopes came back to take the last two heats.
Lopes holds a slender 36-point lead in the overall standings.
