As a country we have much for which to be thankful
This is the time of year when we slow our pace to give thanks to our Maker for the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
It is the time to share with our loved ones the fortunes of family ties.
During the Christmas Season we also pause to remember and help those among us who are less fortunate and may be struggling to make ends meet.
On this day that Jesus Christ was born, we are reminded to follow His life's example of goodwill, forgiveness and unconditional love.
At Christmastime, we express our gratitude and pray for others to be blessed as well.
Families and loved ones
As a country we have much for which to be thankful.
As you sit down with your families and loved ones this Christmas take note and be mindful of what really matters.
It's not about the material possessions.
It's about the love of those around you and the compassion we share among one another.
That spirit of care and kindness is the truly valued meaning of Christmas.
From our family to yours - from our hearts to yours - have a joyous Holiday Season.
And may 2009 be safe for you and yours, filled with opportunity and promise.
Happy Holidays.
