At least 80 per cent of the firm’s employees took part in Denim Days on the last Friday of each month during the last fiscal year.
Each paid $5 to wear jeans to work but additional donations were given and they raised $4,169.
Staff voted for the charity they wanted the cash to benefit.
The Family Centre helped 203 families last year through therapeutic services and hundreds of others through school and community based services.
A record 134 families required the most intensive family intervention last year.
The Family Centre has increased its most intensive counselling and family support services by 180 per cent in the past two years but still has a waiting list due to lack of funding.

“I am delighted the participating Argus employees recognised the importance of supporting our community at a time when public funding has been reduced and actively pursued a means of providing such financial assistance.”
Martha Dismont, executive director of the Family Centre, added: “We are incredibly grateful to Argus.
“The majority of our children and families are facing more complicated problems than ever but our client outcomes show a 90-100 per cent positive impact on child behaviour, family functioning and improved parent skill.”
