Appleby cuts staff
FRIDAY, JANUARY 14: Law firm Appleby has cut staff.
Appleby's roots in Bermuda can be traced back to 1897. According to the company's website, the Bermuda office has 65 lawyers and 360 staff.
This comes on the heels of other job losses at the law firm follows other recent redundancies and business closures at Conyers Dill & Pearman (13 people), Allied World (at least 15 people), Bermuda Press (14 people), Gorham’s (two people) Saltus (eight people) Furniture Flair (three people), Butterfield Fulcrum (10 people), HomeZone (14 people), Bermuda Telephone Company (around 25 people) and ACE (17 people).
