WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12: Appleby, the world’s largest offshore provider of legal, fiduciary and administration services has announced that Vanessa Schrum, a leading trust practitioner in the Bermuda office, has assumed responsibility as local practice group head for the Private Client and Trusts Practice Group with immediate effect.

According to a press release, Vanessa has been with Appleby for 13 years, and has extensive experience advising on a wide range of trust and estate planning matters.

She often advises on the use of Bermuda private and commercial trust structures, the administration of complex and large estates and all areas of probate and equity matters in Bermuda including applications to the Supreme Court of Bermuda.

In addition to being consistently ranked highly in a number of leading legal directories, Expert Guides Leading Lawyers gave Vanessa a “Best of the Best” recognition for Trusts and Estates Bermuda.

She regularly speaks at trust conferences and is an active contributor to trust law journals and the wider press on estate planning topics.

Vanessa is a member of STEP Bermuda and was on the committee of the STEP Bermuda branch for three years.

She is a commissioner for oaths and a notary public in Bermuda.
