Mohs appointed Iron-Starr senior VP, Excess Casualty

THURSDAY, JANUARY 31: Iron-Starr Excess Agency Ltd. announced that John Mohs has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President within the Excess Casualty division, based in Bermuda.  Mr. Mohs manages a comprehensive portfolio of claims-made, occurrence, and occurrence-reported business lines for Iron-Starr, focusing on the energy sector.

Mr. Mohs’ professional career spans more than 20 years in excess casualty underwriting, management and client relations.  Prior to joining Iron-Starr in 2010, he served in senior underwriting positions with AIG and Chubb Insurance Companies. 

“John is an integral part of our dedicated team and has been instrumental in building Iron-Starr’s presence in selected specialty markets,” said Stuart Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Iron-Starr.  “His expertise will further advance our vision to provide syndicated capacity solutions throughout our distribution network for continued growth going forward.”
