After a senior screamed for help, a robber punched him in the face on Monday night.
Police say an 84-year-old Sandys parish man had his house invaded by two men.
A police spokesperson said: “It appears that two males entered a dwelling and made demands of ‘specific items’, as a result of their aggressive demands, the victim a 84-year-old man began to scream for help.
“This resulted in one of the males striking the Southampton man in the face before making good their escape.”
Luckily, the senior was unharmed and nothing was taken from the Leacraft Hill Road home.
The police spokesperson added: “The two men are described as brown complexioned males of stocky build, around 5’6 and approximately 25 years of age. Police are appealing for anyone who knows anything around this incident or can identify these two males, please contact Western CIU on 234-1010.”
