Dip into our vibrant past

Fans of our popular ‘Back in the Day’ photo feature might like to be reminded that there is a book by the same name by Scott Stallard — the renowned Bermudian photographer who has contributed many of the photos from his extensive collection for use in our weekly feature. The book is a limited edition and there are 1,600 copies left before it goes out of print.

It features 150 colour photographs of daily life in Bermuda from the 1950s and early ‘60s, plus assorted images of memorabilia such as local currency, Trimingham’s price lists and stamped postcards. 

“An ideal Christmas present for your older relatives,” Scott suggests. Back in the Day is available at The Bermuda Book Store, Bookmart and Robinson’s Drug Store.
