Two divas have had an incredible week.
Tessanne Chin won The Voice, propelling the Jamaican reggae singer into stardom.
She has performed for years in Jamaica but The Voice has given her an international fan base. She performed on Team Adam Levine, giving the Maroon Five frontman another win.
Speaking before her win, Chin said: “A better coach for me I could not find. I thank you every day for choosing me.”
On the finale, Chin sang with her idol Celine Dion. In her blind audition, she sang Pink’s ‘Try’, her first time performing music that wasn’t reggae.
The judges loved Tessanne from day one, with all four turning their chairs to fight for her. She proved that she can sing with the best of them by belting out Whitney Houston, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani songs and even returning to reggae music.
So a big ‘congrats’ from Bermuda, Tessanne. You deserve all the success!
Meanwhile, Beyonce pulled the biggest move ever, dropping her new self-titled album at 12am on December 13 with no promotion.
When fans woke up to a surprise new album, they were ecstatic.
Beyonce also released the videos for the songs and the album is exclusively available on iTunes.
Beyonce is getting some of the best reviews of her career for this album, which sold more than 800,000 copies worldwide in the first three day. It is set to become the fastest selling album in iTunes history. Kudos, Bey.
