U15 Footballers to face closest rivals
Bermuda’s under-15 football team has kicked off its CONCACAF campaign with a winning streak.
The team are currently second only on goal difference to Aruba in Group A of the competition, the first of its kind to be held.
Bermuda faces Aruba in a top of the table clash tomorrow.
The island’s team took second spot in the group after a 3-0 win over the previously unbeaten Cayman Islands, the hosts of the tournament.
Onego Lowe put Bermuda ahead just before half-time in Friday night’s game, while Osagi Bascome netted another just minutes into the second half. Jai-Zel Smith Deshields netted the other goal.
Aruba and Bermuda both have nine points each, with only an eight goal difference separating the two.
The Caymans are on six points and the Bahamas have three. St Maarten and the US Virgin Islands are anchored at the bottom on no points after three straight defeats.
