Posted!: What would make your summer better? Spanx?

What would make your summer better? That’s what @Bermemes wants to know. They took to Twitter to ask: ‘If you ca add/do one thing to make ya summa in Bermy better, wha would it be?’

Suggestions include ‘a water park’ (@xja_mila) and ‘bring Sparky’s back’ (@Alice_nWonderland).

Freelance photographer @ClaireEpton’s photo of Nahki Wells’ latest goal spread like wildfire across the Twitterverse.

On Saturday, Epton tweeted: ‘My blog was viewed over 3037 times 2day thanks to the talented @nahkiwells and a photo that was #RightPlaceRightTime. Thanks 4 comments&RT’s’

The goal was Wells’s third of the season, during a game in which Bradford beat Carlisle 4-0.

Forbes staff writer (and Bermudian) Clare O’Connor’s tweets are always an interesting read — second only to her Forbes articles. Her feature on the monk who created the 5-Hour Energy empire (http://bit.ly/1cF97hm ) was fascinating. She’s also done a great article on billionaire Sara Blakely – the woman who keeps women looking great.

Blakely’s the founder of Spanx.

Over on Facebook, discussion groups were buzzing (as always) over the news of Nandi (Davis) Outerbridge’s arrest. While there seemed to be little in the way of actual facts, everyone had an opinion on the matter. There were calls for her to step down, pleas for everyone to remember “innocent until proven guilty” and, of course, endless political/race/gender/age debates.

Have you been keeping up with LinkedIn lately? It’s a refreshing relief from the drama and chatter on Facebook, and usually pretty inspiring when you’re bored at work. Just remember, if you’re tempted to stalk people’s profiles you do on Facebook (I can’t be the only one?!) check your own profile settings first. Click ‘Select what others see when you’ve viewed their profile’ under Privacy & Settings on the top right of your profile page. Then be as pokey as you like!
