Posted!: Angry wrestler turns to Twitter

What weapon does a former champion wrestler choose when he gets angry?

Twitter, of course.

Bermuda resident and all-around good guy John Layfield says he got a raw deal from Delta Air Lines when he was trying to fly back to the island on Wednesday. He tweeted to his 350,000 followers: “U guys are terrible. Agent takes too long and I lose my seat. Agent says ‘Sorry’ and that’s ok? Fly anyone but Delta.”

The airline’s Twitter manager valiantly tried to smooth things over with some options, but the ex-WWE champ was unmoved. “Options?... Got option to never fly u guys again!”

Not liking Luis

Reggae artist C’Daynger, like many Bermuda football fans, is none too impressed with the latest shenanigans surrounding Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The talented but controversial Uruguayan has made no secret of his intention to leave the club that brought him into the Premier League.

C’Daynger tweeted: “If Suarez goes Arsenal after saying how he wants out of England… I hope he tears both ACL’s in the first game of the season.”

Disney fiction

“There’s a sucker born every minute” is way too slow for this digital age. On Monday the Bermuda Sun exposed a fake Delta Air  Lines Facebook page (which was taken down on Wednesday) scamming people for information by purporting to give away tickets to Disney World.

When the Sun posted a story exposing it on the fake page, within a minute 12 people had posted comments like “I clicked and liked! I hope I win!” or “My kids would really love to go to Disney. Fingers crossed!” Better unpack those passports.

SuperSmith

It was a happy 29th birthday for Olympian long jumper Tyrone Smith on Wednesday. The World Championships-bound athlete is never shy on social media. He tweeted: “Man… Twitter can be like kryptonite for us athletes! #getapublicist.”
