Man in court on gun handling charge
A 55-year-old man appeared in court this morning facing firearm and ammunition charges.
Terry Thomas is accused of handling a Taurus 38 revolver on a date unknown between April 1 and April 24 in Sandy’s.
He is charged with handling six 38-calibre rounds of ammunition and three .380 calibre rounds.
Mr Thomas was also charged with being a person who has been sentenced in Bermuda for a violent offence, namely wounding with intent, did handle a firearm.
He was not required to plea to any of the charges as the matters are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Thomas into custody until May 13.
