North Village Lady Rams showed no mercy to Hamilton Parish Hot Peppers in last Saturday’s Women’s Futsal League match at Dellwood Middle School.
Village laid on a goal onslaught that saw them victorious by a 26 to 3 margin. Five players had hat tricks, including Shuntae Todd, who doubled out with six goals. North Village was on a mission to enhance its goal difference in case PHC Zebras slipped up. Naquita Robinson had five goals for the winners while team-mates Kyla Ramatar (4 goals), Whitnae Dueer (4), and Teiyah Durham (3) also hat hat-tricks. Zakiyah Durhan (2) and LeiLanni Nesbeth completed the scoring for the Lady Rams.
Ziah Harris had two goals for the Hot Peppers while Darcey Gimis added one.
PHC 9, Dandy Stars Gold 2
PHC moved one step closer to winning the league with the dismantling of the Gold Stars. PHC raced out to a 4-0 half-time lead and didn’t take the pressure off in the second half to complete a 9-2 triumph. Aaliyah Nolan led PHC with four goals with Kalay Hollis knocking in two. PHC team-mates Micah Pond, Taznae Fubler and Sideya Dill each had one goal in the triumph.
Cleshauney Darrell-Virgil and K’Sheal Burch Waldron had a goal apiece in the losing cause.
Dandy Stars Brown 6, Somerset 2
Two of the league’s youngest teams battled it out with the Brown Stars prevailing 6 to 2. Stars doubled up Somerset 4 to 2 at the half and then played great defence to prevent the Lady Trojans from scoring in the second half. Zara Gibbons and Leah Smith both had hat-tricks for Stars while Somerset’s Eva Frazzoni added two more to her league leading total.
Social Club had a bye last weekend. The next round of games start at 5pm at Dellwood Middle School on Saturday.
