Bike rider arrested on suspicion of drink driving
Around 3:45am on Sunday, April 21st police officers on mobile patrol along South Road in Paget near the junction with Bellevue Drive encountered an auxiliary cycle being ridden erratically through the area.
As a result the rider, a 23 year old Pembroke man, was caused to stop. He appeared to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested four people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.
Officers also arrested 13 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
