Man arrested after bike accident

Around 12:15am on Wednesday, April 10th police and first responders attended a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick near the junction with Lorraine Drive.

The rider, a 51 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in stable condition. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Tiffani DeSilva on 295-0011.

A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
