Devonshire Cougars completed a domestic clean sweep today, winning the FA Cup to seal the coveted Triple Crown.
Coach Dennis Brown’s side had already bagged the Friendship Trophy and the Digicel Premier League before their 3-0 win over Somerset Trojans at the National Sports Centre completed the hat-trick.
Midfielder Moses Steede scored twice — the first from the spot after a foul by Somerset keeper Shaquille Bean — and Domico Coddington was also on target to wrap up the club’s most successful season.
Trojans had a golden chance to level the game with 12 minutes left, only for Ijahmon Mallory to see his penalty saved.
Coddington and then Steede again made them pay to spark wild celebrations among the Cougars players and fans.
Shadow Minister congratulates Cougars
