Nahki Wells ended his goal drought and added more impetus to Bradford City’s League Two play-off ambitions this afternoon.

The Bermuda striker’s simple finish secured a 1-0 home win against third-placed Northampton at Valley Parade.

Wells tapped in midway through the first half after a mix-up between the Cobblers centre-half Nathan Cameron and keeper Lee Nicholls.

It was the 22-year-old’s first goal in two months and his 19th of the season, following a dip in form after his Wembley appearance in the League Cup final defeat to Swansea.

The Bantams have now won three of their past four games and are two points off a play-off spot with a game in hand.
