Was he smoking drugs out of a coconut?

A Hamilton Parish man appeared in court today charged with drug and equipment possession, including using a coconut as a pipe.

Tariq White, 33, was pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply in an increased penalty zone, Summit View Drive, which is next to Franc Patton Primary School.

He also denied possession of a metal scale, a wooden homemade pipe, a coconut with a piece of plastic over it, a single edge blade, a black pair of scissors, a clear glass pipe and tweezers, all to be used in connection with a controlled drug.

Mr White was given $10,000 bail and will face trial on July 9.
