Business briefs: Pearman joins Troncossi

Mikaela Pearman has joined Troncossi Public Relations as a public relations consultant.

Prior to joining Troncossi, Ms Pearman worked as a web reporter for the Bermuda Sun. 

Ms Pearman recently completed courses at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in London on account management, crisis and issues management, the role of PR and writing for PR.

AM Best has affirmed the financial strength rating of A (Excellent) and issuer credit ratings of “a” of Platinum Underwriters Bermuda, Ltd. (Platinum) (Bermuda) and its strategic affiliate, Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc. 

Armor notes

Armor Re Ltd. advises that, following the scheduled maturity of the company’s Bermuda Stock Exchange (“BSX”) Listed Series 2013-1 Class A Principal At-Risk Variable Rate Notes Due May 14, 2014, said Notes have been delisted from the BSX. 

BSX delisting

Polo Resources Limited announced on Wednesday that it has submitted formal notice to delist its ordinary shares on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. 

Tower offer 

Euroins Insurance Group submitted a letter to the board of directors of Tower Group International Ltd. proposing to acquire all of the company’s outstanding common stock, and outstanding options at a price per share of US$3.75. 

Everest dividend

Everest Re Group, Ltd. announced on Wednesday that its board of directors declared a dividend of $0.75 per share payable on or before June 18, 2014 to all shareholders of record as of June 4, 2014.
