Bermuda Hospitality Institute (BHI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Malika Musson as Executive Director effective May 27, 2014. As BHI Executive Director, she will be responsible for meeting the deliverables of the organization’s strategic plan through business and program development, and stakeholder and financial management.
“Malika’s passion for, and commitment to, the hospitality industry made her the ideal candidate for this position,” said Muriel Richardson, BHI Board Chairperson. “Her wide reaching experience will help ensure a seamless transition as the organization continues its vital work on behalf of the industry.”
Ms. Musson joins BHI from her post of Country Sales Manager for United Airlines, where she has been responsible for establishing the plans and strategies to expand United Airlines’ customer base, and ensuring the attainment of the company’s sales goals and profitability. Her nearly two decades of industry experience includes sales and marketing for the Fairmont Hotels both in Bermuda and New York; front desk and ‘heart of the house’ responsibilities at Grotto Bay Beach Resort; marketing officer for the L.F. Wade Airport; and public affairs for the Ministry of Tourism and Transport. She holds a B.S. in Marketing and an M.S. in Management/International Business.
