One of Bermuda’s leading property search websites, propertyskipper.com, has announced it will be expanding to Barbados.
According to a press statement, the website, which launched in January 2013, has rapidly expanded over the last year and now advertises the listings of 22 agents in Bermuda.
“Our platform in Bermuda has been a great success in its first year and we have consistently grown traffic and agent enquiries since our launch,” said Peter Goodall, director of propertyskipper.com
He added: “When we built the website we did so with the vision of expanding to other jurisdictions and we feel that now is the right time to do this.
“Barbados, with a population of around 280,000, represents a big challenge for our site, which we look forward to. In many ways there are similarities to Bermuda — there is vast variation in housing price points on the island (and thus target market), interest from both local and international traffic, and an increasing trend toward online search — both from desktop and mobile.”
Peter Goodall concluded, “We see this as a great opportunity to build a strong online Caribbean and Atlantic brand and believe we can become a leading property search hub within the region.”
