A Paget man appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning facing charges of keeping too many pigs.
Daniel Heaven, 37, pleaded not guilty to having too many pigs on September 13 without the required license.
He also denied keeping the pigs and causing a nuisance in October and disobeying an order relating to the pigs on February 6.
Crown counsel Cindy Clarke told the court the maximum fine for this offence is $4,000. She also said the nuisance charge was allegedly related to noise and odors coming from the pigs.
The matter was adjourned for trial next month and Mr Heaven was granted $1,000 bail.Â
