Bermuda Energy Services Company Ltd. (BESCO) today announces that it has won the maintenance contract for the fire protection and detection system at the Tynes Bay Waste Treatment Facility on Palmetto Road. The awarding of the maintenance contract follows a government contract tender process.
The contract covers the supply of labour, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to provide maintenance, inspection, testing and related repair services to the fire protection and detection systems at the Tynes Bay facility. BESCO was responsible for the initial installation of the fire detection system, and they have conducted other work at the facility including electrical upgrades of the boiler streams and precipitators.
Bryan Adams, President of BESCO said: “We are pleased to be able to continue our relationship with Tynes Bay with this maintenance contract. Our technical ability and experience in industrial environments, combined with previous work we have done at the facility, positions us well to effectively carry out this contract.”
Kirk Outerbridge, Plant Manager at Tynes Bay Waste Treatment Facility said: “BESCO has not only the knowledge of the design and installation of the fire protection and detection systems, but they are also able to provide regular monitoring and maintenance. I am pleased to be working with them on these systems and have full confidence in their services.”
