One of the Island’s leading mechanical service companies has taken on a new Bermudian member of staff – a national ladies rugby player.

Based in Mill Creek, Air Care, which specialises in maintaining facilities and their mechanical infrastructures, has recruited Karly Alleyne as Project Sales Representative. It takes the number of staff employed by the firm to 73.

General Manager Robert Platt, said: “Karly has enormous experience and will be a huge asset to Air Care as we continue to evolve our business model.”

Ms Alleyne has been working in the construction industry since 2008, starting out as an Architectural Intern within the Ministry of Works and Engineering’s Architectural and Design Department. She then worked as a Project Manager for Burt Construction. Recently she worked as a Sales/Purchasing and Procurement coordinator for Eminence Contractors.

She is currently in the process of completing a BA in Business Management with a major in Project Management, with Malone University. Ms Alleyne is an active member of the Bermuda National Rugby Woman’s 7’s team and club member for the Mariners Rugby Football Club.

“Coming to Air Care was another step forward in my career. The firm is always thinking ahead, wanting to do different things, so it will be challenging but fun,” said Ms Alleyne.
