Business briefs: First Atlantic Commerce books hotel partnership

First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), a global online payment solutions provider, and B4Checkin, a developer and provider of cloud based software solutions for the hospitality industry, announced its partnership and B4Checkin’s booking engine integration to FAC. 

 FAC is a Bermuda-based payment gateway that was established in 1998 to deliver customized and flexible online credit and debit card processing to international corporations across the globe. 

B4Checkin was designed to help hotels better manage online reservations and measure guest satisfaction. 

B4Checkin has integrated with FAC’s gateway so that its customers can accept online credit and debit card payments with FAC.

Validus acquisition

Validus Holdings, Ltd. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Western World Insurance Group, Inc. Western World, through its subsidiaries, is a specialty lines insurance company with a 50-year track record of profitability and is a pioneer in the binding authority business model, based in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. The transaction brings Validus a highly-regarded United States insurance carrier with long-standing agency and customer relationships. Validus intends to have Western World operate as a standalone business within Validus, led by its current management team and preserving Western World’s name.
