ACE Group is pleased to announce the promotion of eight employees in its Bermuda–based operations. These promotions are effective immediately.
Promotions within ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd:
Dwayne Hunt has been appointed Senior Vice President Property with responsibility for managing and developing ACE Bermuda’s Property insurance business for large multi-national corporations with exposures in the North American market. Dwayne joined ACE Bermuda in 2005, as Vice President in the Property Department. He reports to Robert Rebellato, Executive Vice President, ACE Bermuda Property Division.
Melanie Ostiguy has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary. Melanie joined ACE in 2002 as an Actuary and has held positions of increasing responsibility during her ACE career. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
Nicholas Rowse was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role, he will direct the planning and implementation of ACE Bermuda’s IT systems to support the company’s business operations. He joined ACE in 1995 and has held a number of positions with the Information Technology group.
Robert Spurling was promoted to Vice President, Professional Lines. He joined ACE Bermuda as Assistant Underwriter in the Professional Lines Department in September 2006, rising through the ranks to his current position.
Heidi Lines was promoted to Vice President, Excess Liability Underwriter. She joined ACE Bermuda’s Excess Liability department in 2010 as Assistant Vice President.
Jonathan Allen was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Professional Lines. He joined ACE Bermuda’s Professional Lines department as Assistant Underwriter in 2005 and was promoted to Underwriter in September 2010. Jonathan was the ACE/Robert Clements Scholarship Award recipient in 2003.
Andrew Males was promoted to Underwriter, Excess Liability, ACE Bermuda. He joined ACE Bermuda’s Excess Liability department in 2012 as Assistant Underwriter.
Rees Fletcher, Division President, ACE Bermuda said, “I am delighted that ACE’s significant investment in its employees over the years has been reflected in the increased responsibilities they are undertaking as a result of these promotions. I am extremely proud of these accomplishments that are reflective of ACE’s ongoing commitment to both Bermuda and Bermudians.”
Promotions within ACE Tempest Reinsurance Ltd:
Samuel Peters was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary, ACE Tempest Re Bermuda. In this role, Samuel oversees the actuarial teams supporting both the third party and affiliated reinsurance businesses. He joined ACE Tempest Re as an Actuary in February 2006 and has since held progressively senior roles culminating in his most recent promotion to Senior Vice President.
“Sam has considerable experience in all the core actuarial functions, which he has managed or supported to the highest of standards. I am proud to further recognize his skills with this promotion. I look forward to working with Sam in the future as he continues to develop his career with us,” said Tim Mardon, Division President, ACE Tempest Re Bermuda.
