Business briefs: Bacardi reduces water use by 54% and electricity by 25%

Bacardi Limited, in its Annual Report on Corporate Responsibility (CR) released this week, announced new gains in ongoing efforts to decrease its impact on the environment. 

Family-owned Bacardi reduced energy use by more than 25 per cent and water use by an impressive 54 per cent, compared to results in the Company’s first CR Report in 2006. The water Bacardi saved is equivalent to 10.3 million people showering. 

Warrants expired

Somers Ltd. advises that, following the scheduled expiry, on 31 December, 2013, the Somers Ltd. — Warrants (formerly Bermuda National Ltd. Ticker: have been delisted from the Bermuda Stock Exchange. 

The effective date of the delist is January 23, 2014.
