A year's home Internet with Digicel mobile offer (Update)
Digicel Bermuda is offering customers one year of home Internet at 6Mb when they sign up for postpaid mobile service by March 1.
The offer is good for both old and existing customers and people who want faster than 6Mb Home Service can get it with $50 off the higher speeds.
CEO Wayne Caines said many people have made New Year’s resolutions.
“Many people have taken the opportunity to look back on 2013 and evaluate their lives. Some people, like myself, have set a goal to go to the gym more. Some people have dedicated themselves to learning something and yet others, have simply made an effort to save more money.”
Mr Caines said people could only save more money either by making more of it or spending less cash.
He said Digicel’s ‘Kiss Your Internet Bill Goodbye’ promotion will save people $600 over the next 12 months.
He added: “You might be confused. Why is the CEO of Digicel Bermuda telling you to get rid of a bill sold by his company? What is the gimmick? There is no gimmick. Sign up for a Digicel postpaid account for your mobile phone and get six megs of data for Digicel Internet service for yourhome at no cost for an entire year.”
New customers have to sign up for a two-year postpaid voice or data plan valued at $100 or more while existing customers, who have six months or less left on their contract, may extend their contract by two years to take advantage of the promotion. The two-year agreement is for both voice/data for the mobile phone and a two-year home Internet agreement.
Anyone who terminates the contract early has to pay a $250 fee for the home Internet and $500 for the mobile postpaid.
Mr Caines said: “As Bermuda’s leading mobile provider and the industry game changer, Digicel is always looking for ways to provide our customers with the best value. This offer is designed to entice residents to switch to Digicel for their mobile service and for their Internet and to allow them to save a considerable amount of money in the process.”
